Why is it so darn difficult for women to get a quality custom suit in 2025? There are plenty of boutiques providing made-to-measure and bespoke suits for men, after all. Can’t we just pop in there? How much different can it be?
Answer: Completely different.
The fact is, women’s bodies are built differently. And it’s time we stop settling for a suit that makes us feel anything less than our best. That’s why we don’t believe in taking something that doesn’t fit us and forcing it to fit. We want to create something that fits from the very beginning.
The experience

Step 1
After you book your initial fitting, we’ll send you a questionnaire to learn more about what you’re looking for in a custom suit. Two piece or three? Any particular timeline or occasion? We want to know!

Step 2
Stop by the Amy Bayless studio in the West Bottoms of Kansas City for your first fitting. We will walk you through color options and take your measurements over a glass of bubbly! Treat yo’self.

Step 3
We’ll take everything we learned in your fitting and design and create your perfect suit. As soon as it’s ready, we’ll reach out to let you know to book your second appointment!

Step 4
It’s finally time to try on your perfect suit! In your second appointment, we’ll make sure everything fits correctly and determine if additional alterations are needed. Then, our in-house tailors will get to work.

Step 5
In your final fitting, we have only one question left: do you put on this suit and feel like the best version of you? Because that’s what you deserve.

About Amy Bayless
Born and raised in Kansas City, founder Amy Bayless Mortera has carved out a niche for herself in the fashion industry, both locally and nationally.
Growing up, she was surrounded by art, from quilting and embroidery to textile dyeing and painting. Her mother’s passion and skill for nearly all things creative resonated with Amy, but she found herself drawn to the art of turning textiles into garments.
Never one to shy away from her passions, Amy has spent the past 8 years creating apparel and accessories from handwoven fabric with her mother and a team of local weavers, all while working in suiting right here in Kansas City.
But she soon realized there were not only very few options for quality women’s suits in general, but virtually no options for custom suits for women, not just locally but nationwide. So she set out to change that, opening a studio in Kansas City’s West Bottoms neighborhood to create custom suits exclusively for women. Her dream? Channel her love for apparel into helping women feel confident, powerful, and 100% true to themselves.
